What’s new

Recent improvements and features shipped to Mainspring.

  1. New

Reports that read your whole book

The Reports page now shows the work-to-cash picture: revenue and collections by month, receivables aging, a 30/60/90-day cash flow outlook, project profitability, billing by client, and team utilization — with Helm reading the numbers and flagging what needs attention first. Plus three new CSV exports.

  2. Fixed

Helm's budget alerts now fire when they should

A calculation bug kept the budget dimension of project health permanently green, so over-budget projects never got flagged. Helm now reads budget burn correctly and raises amber and red alerts at your thresholds.

  3. Improved

    No more accidental duplicate projects

Creating a project with a name you already use now shows a warning and asks you to confirm — and a double-click on Create can no longer make two copies. Failed saves roll back cleanly with a clear error instead of pretending they worked.

  4. Fixed

Light mode: floating panels are readable again

The workspace setup widget rendered see-through in light mode, letting page text bleed through. Floating panels now get a proper glass fill on both themes.

  5. New

Meet Helm, your project oversight agent

Helm watches across all your projects — surfacing health alerts, flagging risks, and coordinating Atlas, Pulse, Herald, and Tally so nothing slips through the cracks.

  6. New

    Light mode

Prefer a brighter workspace? Switch between the default dark glass theme and a light lavender mode anytime — your choice now sticks across reloads.

  7. New

    Automated workflows

Build multi-step automations on a visual canvas — or just describe what you want and let AI draft the workflow for you. Start from a template, test-run it in a sandbox, then let it run on a schedule.

  8. New

Your AI agents, now drafting work for you

Atlas estimates new projects, Pulse monitors project health, Herald polishes client updates, and Tally forecasts your billing. Each one drafts work for you to review and approve.

  9. New

    Project intake queue

Collect work requests in one place, triage them, and approve-and-convert the good ones straight into projects — no more requests scattered across email and chat.

  10. New

    Connect Slack

Link your Slack workspace from the new Integrations page so your agents can post updates where your team already works.

  11. Improved

    A fresh new look

We rolled out a new glassmorphism design across the app — a cleaner sidebar, a restructured dashboard with an approval queue and activity feed, and a calmer, more focused workspace.

  12. New

    Project lifecycle statuses

Projects now carry a status with color-coded badges and filter tabs, so you can see at a glance what's active, on hold, or done.

  13. New

Founding Member tier + annual billing

Lock in our lowest price forever ($19/mo or $190/yr) — only 50 spots, only at launch. Annual billing also added to Team and Business, saving you ~2 months vs paying monthly.

  14. New

    Heads-up when payment fails

If a renewal charge gets declined, you now see an in-app banner and get an email so you can update your card before the subscription lapses.

  15. Fixed

Invoice errors no longer fail silently

Creating an invoice or bill with a same-day due date used to drop without warning if something went wrong server-side. You now get a clear toast explaining what failed.

  16. New

    Edit invoices after they're created

Made a typo, need to add a line item, or want to change the due date? Edit any invoice in place instead of deleting and recreating it.

  17. New

    Custom Kanban columns

Your board, your statuses. Add, rename, reorder, or remove columns to match how your team actually works — not a generic To Do / Doing / Done.

  18. Improved

    Manage your subscription in Stripe

The billing page now links straight to the Stripe Customer Portal. Update your card, download past invoices, or change plans — all in one place.

  19. New

    Delete your own account

Need to leave? You can now delete your account end-to-end from Settings without emailing support.
